OUTLOOK: The Cougars rank fifth nationally in assists (17.9), 18th in scoring offense (79 points per game) and they’ve cracked the 80-point barrier 12 times. They’ve dropped home games to LMU (82-68) and Saint Mary’s (80-66). BYU has an impressive frontcourt with 6-foot-8 senior Noah Hartsock (17.5 ppg, 58.2 percent FG, 5.4 rebounds) and 6-9 junior Brandon Davies, whose 18.7-point average is tops in WCC games. Pepperdine snapped an eight-game skid with a 74-62 win over Santa Clara on Saturday. The Waves are led by forward Taylor Darby (11.9 ppg, 6 rebounds) and freshman guard Jordan Baker (13.2 ppg in conference games).
