Died on January 28, 2012 in Spokane, WA after a courageous battle with COPD.
He was born May 9, 1932 in Priest River, ID to Bob and Audrey Henderson.
Wayne graduated from Priest River High School in 1951 and worked in underground construction tunneling in 14 different states.
He is survived by Elsie (VanDerPas), his wife of 56 years; his son Greg; daughter Sherie (Don) Hackney; three grand-children: Catherine, Elizabeth and John; his brother Loren Henderson, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
A farm boy at heart, he was an honest, hardworking man who played as hard as he worked.
He liked hunting, fishing, four-wheeling and Gonzaga basketball.
He was a member of El Katif Shrine, Scottish Rite and Masonic Lodge.
The Rosary will be prayed Sunday, February 5, at 2:00 p.m. and a Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 6, at 1:00 p.m., both at the funeral home.
