Fundraiser lunch Sunday for MOPS

The Spokane Valley Church of the Nazarene is planning two special events on Sunday.

A spaghetti lunch fundraiser will be served in the early afternoon, and the church will host two missionary guest speakers in the evening.

The spaghetti lunch will be served following the 11 a.m. worship service. The event is a fundraiser for the church’s Mothers of Preschoolers group. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children age 12 and younger.

At 6 p.m. the church will host Robert and Rosa McCroskey, who have been longtime Nazarene missionaries. They helped start the Indonesia Nazarene Bible College in 1981 and are still serving in Indonesia. All are welcome to attend their talk. The church is at 15515 E. 20th Ave.

Parent night out

Parents interested in going out on Valentine’s Day can take advantage of the Parent Night Out event Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Opportunity Presbyterian Church, 202 N. Pines Road. Children will be able to have pizza and participate in activities. The cost is $5 per family.
