Mead, University claims gymnastics titles
Mead’s Victoria Moyer and Cadie Pratt finished second and third, respectively, in the all-around, helping the Panthers claim the title at the 4A regional gymnastics meet Saturday at Central Valley High School.
Pratt won the uneven bars with a score of 9.1. Moyer was tied for second with a 9.0.
Lewis and Clark’s Lily Hoch (vault) also qualified for state, which will be held Friday and Saturday at the Tacoma Dome.
3A regional
University’s Amy House was first in the floor exercise and the Titans took the title at the 3A regional meet at Central Valley.
Shadle Park’s Alana Norman also qualified for state after taking first in the vault and second in the all-around.
Other local gymnasts who qualified as individuals included Mt. Spokane’s Courtney Bray (vault, uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise) and Shadle Park’s Hailey Barry (vault).
