Fairfield City Council – The council discussed a proposal from a landowner who would like to put in a U-pick fruit business and asked whether water lines could be extended. A public hearing will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday to discuss whether the town should join a recycling program with the other south Spokane County towns. Rockford City Council – A representative of the Soil Conservation District spoke about the Hangman Creek Watershed project. The town is considering hiring a company for on-call engineering.
