The daughter of Karl and Katharina Schrenk, she grew up with five brothers and two sisters in a German farming community near LaCrosse, WA.
After
graduating high school, Ida attended Kinman Business School where she learned secretarial skills.
She moved to Spokane when she was 24 years old and worked for the Spokesman-Review and later worked for the government.
There she met her husband, Philip Glover, a decorated WWII veteran, who served most of his career as an auditor with the United States General Accounting Office (GAO).
Ida and Phil were married in 1960, and their daughter, Deahn Carmen Glover, was born in 1962.
They lived happily together in Richland, WA, until Phil passed away in 1978.
Ida will be remembered for her love of Christ and her kindness and generosity to others.
She was a devoted mother, Sunday school teacher, hospital volunteer, loving wife, avid sports fan, favorite neighbor, and great friend.
For over 30 years, Ida was a dedicated member of Westside Presbyterian Church in Richland.
Ida is survived by her daughter, Deahn, and a loving extended family and circle of friends.
She is now at home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
