Virginia (Towles)

Passed away at the age of 96 in Spokane, WA, on February 21, 2012.

She was born in Wallace, ID, to Sadie and Therrett Towles in June of 1915.

She grew up in Wallace and graduated from high school in 1933.

She attended the University of Washington and then the University of Idaho.

The family moved to Spokane in 1935, and she worked as a legal secretary for several law firms in Spokane.
Virginia was a member of Alpha Chi Omega, past president and member of Chapter R, P.E.O., member of St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Cathedral, and life member of the Retired Officers Association Auxiliary.
Virginia was preceded in death by her first husband, CDR Robert J. Anderson, USNR; second husband, Dominic Peretti; son, Michael J. Anderson; brother, Judge James T. Towles and his wife, Betty Lou Towles.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Karen Anderson; granddaughter, Lori Johnson and her husband, Matt Johnson; grandson, David Anderson and his wife, Robin Anderson; niece, Jan Towles; two nephews, James G. Towles and Stephen T. Towles; and five great-grandchildren: Christopher Anderson, Brandon Rose, Brittany Anderson, Katherine Rose and Madison Johnson.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
