Soapmaking 101 Workshop – Two-day workshop explores the art of making fine handcrafted soap. Participants make and take home approximately 4 pounds of soap. For ages 15 and older. Oil Painting Workshops – Introductory classes help students learn how to get started with oils. Students paint and take home their completed painting the same day. Arts and Travels Exhibit – The City of Moscow and the Moscow Arts Commission are currently accepting submissions from local and regional artists for the Arts and Travels Exhibit. Theme of the exhibit is to showcase works from travel destinations (both near and far). Applications due Jan. 23. Spokane Convention Center Art Project – The Public Facilities Board and Spokane Arts Committee will commission an artist or artist team to create a work to enhance the site improvements at the Spokane Convention Center for several indoor locations. Ignite! Community Theatre’s Playwright’s Booklight Showcase – Playwrights living within a 75-mile radius of Spokane are invited to submit their original works to be considered for presentation in a readers’ theater format.
