On the right side of the tracks: Jack Cornell, 5, left, and Reid Eichberg, 5, both of Boise, watch in fascination as a scale model train moves along a table at the Boise Depot on Sunday. The Union Pacific Railroad celebrated its 150th year with a stop at the Boise Depot and a declaration marking Boise as one of its “train towns.” Hundreds of railroad enthusiasts and history buffs gathered at the depot to see a sleek Union Pacific passenger train carrying the Promontory museum car. A scale version of the train gave rides to families, and model train displays and other curiosities filled the historic Boise Depot. (Darin Oswald)
