WENTZ, Nora Marie

Nora Marie Wentz, 81, of Spokane died at her home Saturday after a brief struggle with cancer.
She was born June 25, 1931 in Claresholm, Alberta, Canada to the late Olaf and Dora (Johnson) Hanson.

She attended Valley Forge High School.

In 1952, she married Virgil G. Wentz and they lived near Marietta, Ohio before moving to Spokane in 1992.
Nora was an active member of the Northside Church of Christ.

An artist and avid gardener she loved to travel, enjoyed cooking and many other creative pursuits.
Nora is survived by her husband, Virgil Wentz, and two sons and their spouses Michael and Connie Wentz of Spokane and Donald and Peg Wentz of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren Ann, Matthew, and Jennifer, and great-grandchildren; sister, Anne Jernigan (Ken) and brother, Oscar (Annette) Hanson of CA.

Preceded in death by Peter (Evie), Carl (June) and Helmer (Delores) Hanson and sister Inga (Rod) Lord.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00p.m., July 13th at the Northside Church of Christ.
