WALKER , Todd R.

Todd, 56, passed away June 30, 2012 at home in Olympia, WA.

He was born November 12, 1955 in Minneapolis, MN to Robert and Patricia Walker.

As a youth, he lived in Costa Mesa, CA, Spokane, WA, and attended Mead High School in Mead, WA, and graduated in 1974.

He worked at Expo ‘74 for the Folk Life Festival, and he also managed lights and sound for several local Spokane rock-and-roll bands.


He married Diane M. Bratlie March 19, 1977 in Coeur d’Alene, ID, and they raised two sons, Jason and Ross.

He worked in real estate beginning in 1976.

He received an associate degree in Natural Resources Management from Spokane Community College in 1991.

He was Vice President of Bratlie Forestry in Coeur d’Alene from 1988-1993, was the Real Estate Acquisition Supervisor for the Real Estate Services Wildlife Program at the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife from 1993 to 2010.


Todd loved spending time with his family and grandchildren, riding his Harley, boating with his family, parasailing, and camping with Diane and the boys.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Diane (Olympia); son Jason, his wife Jesse, grandchildren Caleb and Kellan (Olympia); son Ross Walker, his wife Amanda (Olympia); parents Robert and Patricia Walker (Arizona/Spokane); brother Scott Walker, his wife Rachel (Spokane); niece Wendy; and nephews Blake, Bryce, and Trevor; father-in-law Norm Bratlie (Coeur d’Alene).
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 15, 2012 at South Sound Manor, 455 North St.
