Of Spokane, WA, passed away on July 13th, 2012 at her home in Spokane, WA.

Funeral service will be held at Fairmount Memorial in the Sunset Chapel on Friday, July 20th, at 1:00pm with Pastor John Repsold of Mosaic Church officiating.

All who loved her or loved someone who loved her are welcome.

Interment will follow at a later date.

Dwana Ann Miotke was born in Arlington, TX on July 2nd, 1963.

She worked for Northern Quest Casino for the last few years but was most passionate about the daycare she owned and operated in the 1990s.

While we don’t know why she died, we do know why she was here.

Dwana lived her life for others - especially children.

She devoted her life to taking in those in need and treating them with the love, compassion and kindness that most reserve only for those closest to them.

Dwana was a spiritual woman and the only explanation for this tragic, untimely void left in so many hearts is that God needs her more than we do.

Dwana Ann Miotke is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Alicha and Joshua Brown; her sons Alexander Miotke and Joshua Miotke; her sister Ardella Carroll; her brother Van Duez; her beloved dogs, Otis, Murphy, Moosey and Precious and the countless others whose lives will never be the same without her.

Our family wishes to extend our gratitude to everyone who has reached out over the past week to support us and reaffirm just how loved Dwana was by so many.
