A prolonged stretch of mid-summer weather will continue through the week with highs in the middle and upper 80s under sunny skies. The Inland Northwest has been sandwiched between a hot high pressure area over the southwestern states and an offshore low in the Pacific Ocean. Forecasters said there will be little change to the pattern through the week. Temperatures could warm to about 90 degrees by the weekend. Lows will be in the upper 50s. The average temperature for today is 86 for a high and 58 for a low. The record high is 99 set in 2003 and 1929.
