Tacey was born June 6, 1944 in Malad, ID to Lula (Criddle) and Harold E. Hughes.
Tacey lived most of her life in Spokane and graduated from Lewis & Clark High School.
Tacey was a gifted care giver and spent many years caring for the developmentally disabled, senior citizens, and also Hospice.
She is preceded in death by her father Harold E. Hughes, her step-father Lyle Elber, brothers Wesley Hughes and Roger Elber.
She is survived by her daughter Kathy Burton, mother Lula Elber and brother Robert Elber.
She was buried in Downey, ID on May 25, 2012.
