Mural for Inspiration Alley - Central United Methodist Church, 518 W. Third Ave., is looking for volunteers to paint a mural that will reach from Stevens to where the art of CUMC begins. Work starts at 10 a.m. Refreshments will be served and a family movie will be shown in the late afternoon or early evening to finish the day. (509) 838-1431.

Father’s Day service - Moran United Methodist Church, 3601 E. 65th Ave., will honor all fathers Sunday during its traditional worship service Sunday at 10 a.m. and its contemporary worship service at 11:30 a.m. There will be a Father’s Day reception in the fellowship hall from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Nature retreat- St. Joseph’s Family Center, 1016 N. Superior, will offer a weeklong retreat Sunday through Friday. Portland Boys Choir - The Center for Spiritual Living, 2825 E. 33rd Ave., will host the Portland Boys Choir on Monday at 7 p.m. The group includes three all-boy choirs and will perform traditional sacred music and folk, pop and other secular songs. (509) 534-1011.

Introduction to Buddhism- Spokane Buddhist Temple, 927 S. Vacation Bible school - St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 505 W. St. Thomas More Way, will present “Assorted Saints and the Virtues of Faith, Hope and Love,” a vacation Bible school, July 9-13 from 9 a.m. to noon for kids in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade.
