(Age 99)

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother died June 11th in Spokane, WA.

Born in Crawfordsville, Oregon, on February 21, 1913, to Dr. Charles and Violet McGougan, the family moved to Garfield, WA, where she graduated from Garfield High School.

Upon the death of her father, the family moved to Spokane, where she attended and graduated from Kelsey Baird Secretarial School.

After graduation, she worked for an insurance company and the Museum.

In 1935, she married Marvin Mills.
A beautiful pianist, she played for the silent movies, vaudeville, and the White Rose Chapter- Order of the Eastern Star, of which she was a lifetime member.

Being a beautiful seamstress, she loved sewing for the grandchildren.

She loved to entertain and many were blessed with her wonderful cooking skills.

Louise and Marvin loved to travel and play bridge.

But, their greatest passion was, stream fishing in Northport and Montana.
Preceding her in death were her husband, three brothers, and one sister.

She is survived by one daughter, Elaine (Lyle) Orness; two granddaughters, Cheryl (Kevin) Hutton, and Cathy (Tom) Thornton; two great-grandchildren, Courtney (Ron) Lunan, and Cpt.

Brian (Jessica) Hutton.

Her surviving family all reside in Spokane, with the exception of Cpt.

Hutton who presently serves in Afghanistan.
The family would like to express their thanks to Harbor Crest and Hospice of Spokane for their wonderful care.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 19th, at 11:00 AM at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church on 24th and Grand Blvd.
