Obituary: Haynes, Margaret “Peggy”

Lifelong Spokane resident Margaret “Peggy” Haynes was called home by the Lord on February 29, 2012.
She was a devoted wife of James F. Haynes for 65 years and loving mother to Mary Shane, Terry Bray (Steve), and Vicky Miller (John).
Peggy was born to John and Vivian Reilly on September 20, 1925.
She was the oldest of six children, and had two brothers; Robert (Joan), James (Shirley) and three sisters; Vivian Devine, Rosemary Johnson and Maureen Reilly.
Peggy was a 1943 graduate of Marycliff High School and very proud of her Catholic faith and Irish heritage.
She served as President of the Spokane Police Officers Wives Association and Marycliff Alumni Association.
She is survived by her husband James, children, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son James (Jimmy) Haynes and sister Maureen.
A Rosary Vigil will be held Wednesday, March 7th at 7:00 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 8th at 10:00 a.m., both at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 1517 E 33rd Ave. Peggy will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7200 N Wall St., on Thursday, March 8th at 1:00 p.m.
