Passed away peacefully on February 25, 2012.

Born November 24, 1921 in Wynn, Arkansas.

Marie spent 52 years in Spokane Valley, taking care of her family as a mother and housewife.

She enjoyed sewing and was a square dancer for 26 years.

Marie was preceded in death in 1999, by her husband, Ike.

They were married for 62 years.

She is survived by daughter Jean Dickey, Newman Lake, WA, son Jack Slawter, Apache Junction, AZ, son Joe Slawter, wife Nancy, of Spokane Valley, WA; eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and many friends.

At her request, there will be no service.

Donations may be made to Hospice of Spokane or a charity of one’s choice.

She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
