Grammer plans move from ‘Housewives’

Camille Grammer has decided not to return for another season of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”

“It was 100 percent her decision,” said her publicist, Howard Bragman. “Bravo seems to be going out there saying it was mutual. It’s just not true.”

Grammer cut ties, according to Bragman, due to conflicting views on the direction of her storyline. “There were things that she didn’t want to talk about: kids, family, her personal life. Bravo wanted that. She said no.”

Bravo declined to comment on the matter. And the network hasn’t yet officially announced whether the show will return for a third season – though it’s highly likely that it will.

“She ended on a high note,” Bragman said. “We got a chance for some redemption.”

Brown arrested on suspicion of DUI

Officials in Southern California say Bobby Brown has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

California Highway Patrol Officer Mike Harris said Brown was arrested around 12:20 p.m. Monday in the San Fernando Valley north of Los Angeles. He failed a field sobriety test and was booked on suspicion of DUI.

Harris said the R&B singer was pulled over after an officer saw him talking on his cellphone without a hands-free unit and noticed he appeared to be impaired.

Los Angeles police say Brown was released from jail on his own recognizance shortly before 2 p.m.

The 43-year-old is the ex-husband of Whitney Houston and a founding member of the group New Edition.

Kimmel to host Emmys

Jimmy Kimmel has been picked to host the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards, which will air on Sept. 23 on ABC.

It is the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” host’s first time performing those duties for the Emmys, which is surprising considering the amount of hosting work he’s done for other awards show, including the American Music Awards and ESPN’s ESPY Awards.

He’s also set to host the White House Correspondents Dinner in April, another high-profile gig made most notable by Stephen Colbert’s scathing routine in front of President George W. Bush in 2006.
