• J-U-B Engineers has hired Ryan Luttmann as a senior transportation project manager for the company’s Coeur d’Alene office. He previously served as Bonner County’s road and bridge director for the past eight years. The company also hired Lynne Black as an administrative assistant to the office manager. She has 25 years of related experience and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah.

Tyler Baker has been hired as an electrical drafter for Trindera Engineering in Coeur d’Alene. He holds an associate’s degree in computer drafting and design from ITT Technical Institute and previously worked for Center Partners in Hayden.

• Taylor Engineering Inc. has hired Ryan Zimmerman as a design engineer. He is a certified engineer in training and land surveyor and previously worked for a Seattle consulting firm.

Paul Viren has been elected by the National Association for Estate Planners and Councils as a member of its board of directors and Speakers Bureau. Viren and his wife, Beth, own Viren and Associates Inc., a Spokane firm specializing in financial and estate planning, and employee benefits.

• The American Optometric Association presented Nadia Kurakina with a certified paraoptometric designation. Kurakina works for Outlook Vision in Spokane Valley. • Karleen Ilagan, Mona Caruso and Ara Lyman have been named instructors at Yarrow Hot Yoga and Wellness Studio.

• K&L Gates, LLP has hired Brian McClatchey as an associate attorney for the firm’s Spokane office. He previously worked with the Coeur d’Alene Casino as in-house counsel.

Ed Sutich has been appointed by Hecla Mining Co. as vice president and general manager of the Lucky Friday mine. The company also appointed John Jordon as vice president of technical services for the corporate team, and Michael Wegleitner as director of safety and health.

• The following individuals have been named members of Support, Care and Networking’s board of directors: Edward Turner of Stamper Rubens, P.S.; Lee Taylor of Project Access; Mike Broemeling of Avista Corp.; Shannon Stiltner, independent marketing consultant; Steve Slater of Stellar Industrial Supply; and Tim Gump of EDMO Distributors Inc.

Melanie Nelson has been appointed executive director of Northwest Mediation Center. She has been with the organization for six years.

• Keller Williams Realty Spokane hired BreAnn Fiebelkorn and Patrick Kendrick as agents. Fiebelkorn previously owned and operated an adult family home and Kendrick previously owned and operated Platform Booking.
