Jean Shirley (Pool) McGee died May 23, 2012.

She was born November 16, 1929 to Helen and Gerald Pool in Spokane, Washing-ton.

She attended Jefferson Elementary School and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1947.

She was employed by the Seattle First National Bank (later Bank of America) in various positions, including personnel director, until her retirement.

She was a member of Saint Anthony’s parish.

Among other activities, Jean and Pat enjoyed fishing at various lakes in the inland northwest area.
Jean described her three sons as a “delight,” and their wives as “the three daughters I always wished for.”

She was a loving wife and mother and loved participating in family events.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband (and best friend) Patrick McGee.

She is survived by her three children and their wives: David (Molly), Tim (Barbara), and Matt (Rhonda) all of Spokane.

She is also survived by her brothers Richard and Edward; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The rosary will be at 7pm, Tuesday, May 29, at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home.

The funeral mass will be held at 10 am, Wednesday, May 30 at Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church, N. 2320 Cedar Street, Spokane.

Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7200 N. Wall Street.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Catholic Charities.
