Our beloved mother and friend of so many, Barbara Brown, passed away November 4, 2012.

She was born January 9, 1936 and was a life-long resident of Spokane.
During her working career, she worked in the accounting offices for Sears, Safeway and retired from URM in 1998.

She had a wonderful circle of friends from Safeway and throughout the last 27 years, they still got together for lunches every other month.
Barbara loved her many friends and family and one of her greatest pleasures was to entertain in her home providing wonderful home-cooked meals and plenty of conversations.

She also enjoyed golfing, especially the annual trip to Leavenworth, as well as working in her yard.

She loved playing numerous card games with her daughters and somehow managed to win most of the time.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Brown, and is survived by two daughters Debbie Parsons and Barbie Akers (both of Spokane), sisters Pauline Carlson (Spokane) and Betty O’Dell (Redding, CA), two grandsons Blaine Akers (Mtn.

Home) and Brandon Akers (Spokane) and one great-grandson Ashton Akers (Airway Heights).
A Memorial Service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. and will be officiated by Pastor Happy Watkins.

A reception will follow the service in the club house of Sans Souci West, 3231 W. Boone Ave.
