Master Gardener Applications - Applications are now being accepted for the University of Idaho Extension in Bonner County’s Master Gardener volunteer program. Classroom training will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, Feb. 5-May 16 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Waste-to-Energy Facility Tours - Walk-in tours of the Waste-to-Energy facility will not be offered from November through February. Tours for groups of 10 or more will still be scheduled according to staff availability. Call (509) 625-6521 to schedule a group tour. Walk-in tours will resume March 6. “Slightly West of Spokane” Artist Studios Tour - Third annual event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. This event features more than 16 artists in eight different studios and other locations on a self-guided tour around the Medical Lake and Cheney area. Media include pottery, jewelry, polymer clay, watercolor, acrylic, oil, charcoal portraits, mixed media, photography and wood arts and craft accessories.
