Pac-12 picks

Hey, that’s more like it. A nice 4-1 record against the spread brings a bit of respectability to my season total. Not much, but a bit.

Some big point-spreads this week won’t make things any easier, but at the very least my guesses will supply some comedic relief.

All games Saturday except the one on Thursday. All lines are for purposes to be determined later.

USC at Utah (tonight), USC by 13.5: Matt Barkley needs to throw for about 500 yards to rejuvenate his Heisman chances. If Utah plays like it did last week, that’s a possibility. USC 35-10

Arizona at Stanford, Stanford by 9: David Shaw is annoyed by questions about his quarterback. Luckily for him, nobody’s questioning his defense (yet). Stanford 21-17.

WSU at Oregon State, OSU by 15.5: Strange things have happened in this series recently. But OSU is on a roll. OSU 31-20.

UCLA at California, UCLA by 2.5: Jeff Tedford’s seat at Cal gets warmer … and warmer … and warmer. UCLA 31-24.

Washington at Oregon, Oregon by 24: The ultimate barometer for whether the Huskies’ defense really is as good as it has seemed. Oregon 42-17.

Last week: 4-1 straight up, 4-1 against the spread. Season: 33-10, 15-19 ATS.
