PORTER, Virgil Eugene

Gene recently passed peacefully to join his wife, Clare, in Heaven.

He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Gloria and his parents Virgil and Lila Porter.

His brother, Stanely Porter, passed away last week.
He is survived by his son, Russell Porter in Silver Lake, Washington, and his sister, Adele Chatwood, who resides in Eugene, Oregon.
Gene drove race cars on circle tracks throughout the Pacific Northwest from 1952 to 1970.

He worked as a logger in his younger years.

In 1971 he moved his family to Anchorage, Alaska, where he was an insulation contractor until his retirement.

He returned back to his roots in Washington state, setting up his retirement on Silver Lake, Washington.

Services will be held at a later date.
