Passed away October 18, 2012 in Spokane, WA.
He was born on September 3, 1921 in Midwest, Wyoming.
Roy was preceded in death by his wife, LaVern of 64 years and son, Kenneth at four months.
He is survived by two daughters, Darlene (Armour) Armstrong, Pat (John) Choate; grandchildren, Rick (Yelena) Armstrong, Rhonda (Marty) Hill, Kari (Paul) Quick and Paul Choate; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Pearl Harris; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by his beloved Joan of seven years.
As a young man he was in the CCC’s in Rainier, WA.
His main occupation throughout his life was in floor covering.
Roy was a partner at Modern Floors for many years.
He was for many a visible expression of God’s unconditional love.
A very kind and happy person who loved the Lord with all his heart.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA.
A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Immanuel Baptist Church, 5109 N. Adams St., Spokane, WA.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Union Gospel Mission and/or Ogden Hall.
