STREHLOW, Chester D.
Chester Strehlow, died August 17, 2012 in Bellevue, WA after a short illness.
He was born July 1915 in Miles City, Montana and lived most of his life in Spokane.
He married Betty Rush and they celebrated a 60 year anniversary prior to her passing in 2008.
Chester had served a short time in the Navy.
He also worked for over 30 years as a machinist for a company in Spokane.
He was an active Masonic member.
He was involved in the DeMolay and became Grand Master of the Manito Lodge #246.
He was also a Scottish Rite 32nd degree Mason and Master of Kadosh of the consistory.
Chester devoted much time to the Boy Scouts and was a recognized Scout Master.
He was also a member of the Spokane Valley men’s garden club.
Chester is survived by his daughter Karen, son John and his wife Kim.
He is also survived by three grandchildren; Alaina, Ben and Courtney.
His daughter Patty also preceded him in death.
Chester was always well liked by his caregivers and would always say he was, “Wunderbar”!
A private family service was held in Seattle.
