Obituary: Templin, Delbert

TEMPLIN, Delbert Delbert Emil Conrad Templin, lifelong Ritzville resident, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2013 at Life Care Center of Ritzville.

Del was born December 4, 1921 in Ritzville to Ernest and Elsie Templin.

He graduated from RHS in 1939.

He proudly served in the Army which included a war time tour in the Philippines.

Del attended local military graveside ceremonies into his 90’s to honor veterans.

Del married Lois Bundy in 1941.

They celebrated their 71st anniversary in October 2012.

Lois and Del built and owned the Circle T Restaurant (Templin’s Grill) in partnership with Del’s brother, Bob Templin.

Del and his brother, Chet also operated a timber and cattle ranch.

Del later worked as a Real Estate broker specializing in farm ranches and commercial property.

Del loved the land and lived on the farm until his health deteriorated.

Del is survived by Lois and their four children Gary Templin (Vernette) of Ritzville, Sharon Loeffler (Robert), of Redmond, Diane Johnson (Warren) of Walla Walla, and Bonnie Templin of Ritzville; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Del is also survived by brothers Chet (Nita) of Ritzville and Bob (Mary) of Post Falls and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private family gathering will be scheduled later in the spring per Del’s instructions.

Memorial remembrances can be directed to Emanuel Lutheran Church in Ritzville or a charity of one’s choice.
