Thunderstorms on the way
Thunderstorms are poised to roll across the Inland Northwest today bringing rain and lightning, according to the National Weather Service.
The storm system has pushed ashore, aready delivering numerous lightning strikes in the Palouse and heavy rain south of Pullman. This evening and overnight the storms will bring rain to Spokane, Northeast Washington and the Idaho Panhandle.
The threat of fire remains especially acute west of Spokane to the eastern slopes of the Cascades.
The high temperature in Spokane today is forecasted to be 82 degrees with an 80 percent chance of rain. Friday will be cooler, with high of 70, according to NWS.
