Obituary: Augustine, Duane L. “Augy”
Age 59
Augy fell in love with Mount Hood while in High School in Astoria, Oregon and eventually became the Timberline Lodge ski manager where he met and married the love of his life Gwen Petty Cassidy and married in 1978,moved to Spokane in 1984 and managed the Ski Shop at Mt Spokane, then switched careers and pursued his lifelong interest in the electrical field going to work for Canter Electric and became general manager for over 25 years.
He was an avid fisherman and fully restored a classic Crestliner.
He was a master chef and loved using his cooking skills to feed large gatherings of family and friends.
Always the one to call if you needed a hand, he was a generous and selfless friend to all who knew him.
Survived by his wife Gwen, daughter Dawn, brother Bob (Augi), sisters Carol and Karen and his beloved dogs Beemer and Portia.
A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, August 25th at 1:00 PM.
