Obituary: Pringle, Ronald “Ronnie” George
Age 74
Ronnie was born on Dec. 30, 1938 in Spokane WA, but was raised in his families’ longtime home in Otis Orchards WA.
He attended Otis Orchards High School and then joined the US Army serving in the 5th Battalion, 83rd Artillery, Baumholder, Germany.
After returning home to the US, he was employed in the construction industry, later taking over the family business.
Ronnie co-owned, with his brother Randy, the First and Last Chance for more than 25 years.
Ronnie had racing in his blood.
Following in their fathers’ footsteps Ronnie and his two brothers competed in outboard hydroplane racing.
Ronnie raced local drag strips for many years, later becoming a stand out racer, and lifelong member of SLORA, State Line Outboard Racing Association.
Ronnie served as the Mayor of Stateline Id.
for 26 years.
He was an honorary uncle to many children.
You could count on Ronnie for a good joke and a proud grin upon your laughter.
Because of his many trips to McDonalds, he gained quite the toy collection to set alongside his hot wheels collection.
He loved golf, snowmobiling, photography and racing of any kind.
He loved riding his scooter or 4-wheeler around Stateline collecting treasures.
He was the King of the thrift stores and a Master of garage sales.
You could count on Ronnie to make any of his nurses or caregivers crack a smile.
He loved his Liberty Lake “Savon Girls”.
Ronnie loved his bingo and his bingo friends, having more bingo daubers then any man should.
Ronnie is survived by his beloved daughter, Ronda (Dan) Bishop; his step-daughter, Trisha (Joseph) Cabrero; brothers: Tommy and Randy; his sister, Nancy Bishop; numerous nieces, great nieces, nephews, and many great friends.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents: Eugene and Delores Pringle and eldest brother, Dick.
Ronnie raced his last lap with strength and a smile with his daughter by his side.
There will be a viewing Tuesday August 20th from 5-7pm at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home: 1315 N. Pines with a Rosary Service at 7pm.
A Funeral Service will be held, Wednesday, August 21st at 1pm at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home, with a potluck celebration to follow at 4pm at the El Patio, Stateline ID.
