Obituary: Nilson, Sharon Virginia (Foster)
Age 66
She was born on January 1, 1947 in Victoria B.C., to Leslie Hamlin Foster and Geneva Ina (Farmer) Foster.
Within a year of her birth the family left Canada and moved to the United States eventually settling in Spokane, Washington where Sharon was a lifelong resident.
Sharon graduated from Roger’s High School in 1965 marrying John R. Nilson on September 4, 1965, a marriage of over 48 years.
They brought six beautiful children into this world: Rhonda Driskill, Kim (and Joe) Brazil, Kristie (and Quinton) Selin, Mike (and Alita) Nilson, Chelsie (and Tua) Fale and Benjamin Nilson.
She left twelve grandchildren to the care of their parents.
She is survived by her brother Les (and Linda) Foster and John Foster.
She graduated from Spokane Community College as a medical secretary and then as a phlebotomist.
Sharon worked many years for Dr. Claypool and then finished her medical career with PAML as a phlebotomist working at the Country Homes Medical Center on Division.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Sharon, for over 30 years, helped cub scouts explore their environment while learning confidence through achievement.
Her life ended after a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma.

Her memorial service will be at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 5322 N. Evergreen in Spokane Valley on December 7th at 11 AM.
