Accounting

 Nicholas Knapton, P.S. has promoted Matthew Largent from intern to Staff B accountant and Margaret Reynolds from support staff to paraprofessional.

Architecture

 Tim Leinonen, Kathy Russell, and Ron LaRue have joined ALSC Architects of Spokane. Leinonen is an architectural intern and Russell and LaRue are project architects. Leinonen and Russell are working on the Washington State University Wine Science Center in Richland and LaRue is working on the Spokane Convention Center Expansion Project.

Education

 Community Colleges of Spokane has appointed J.L. Henriksen as the dean of health and environmental sciences at Spokane Community College; Brian Dudak as the assistant dean for adult basic education at Spokane Community College; and Joseph Jozwiak as the assistant dean for social sciences, accounting-economics, human services and academic initiatives at Spokane Falls Community College. Henriksen worked as a professor in the department of Natural Sciences at Bellevue University, in Bellevue, Neb., from 2009 to 2013. Dudak was an English instructor at Phillips Community College, in Helena, Ark., and Jozwiak was a professor of political science at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi from 2011 to 2013.

Finance

 Manuel Hochheimer, Janet McNeilly and Jeanette Radmer have been named “Credit Union Rock Stars” by Credit Union Magazine, published by the Credit Union National Association, for their work as business development managers for Numerica Credit Union.

 Trey Lusk and Matt Lusk have joined the office of Shea, Harley, Lusk & Lusk Family Wealth Consulting and Management UBS Financial Services Inc.

Health care

 Intrepid USA Healthcare Services in Spokane has been named to the Top 500 of the 2013 HomeCare Elite for the fifth time in seven years for their work in providing outstanding home health services.

 The Valley Young People’s Clinic, a full service pediatric office, will join the Providence Medical Group effective Jan. 1. The Clinic has offices in Spokane Valley at 1414 Vercler Road and in Liberty Lake at 23813 E. Appleway Ave.

Law

 Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson has selected Spokane County Assistant Attorney General Annika Scharosch to receive the 2013 William V. Tanner Award in recognition of outstanding achievement early in her career. Scharosch joined the Washington State Office of the Attorney General in 2008.

Nonprofit

 Specialized Needs Recreation has been named one of the Idaho Governor’s 2013 Brightest Stars. The nonprofit in Coeur d’Alene provides recreational opportunities for individuals with special needs in Idaho’s five northern counties. The award recognizes the dedication and accomplishments of SNR’s 200 volunteers, including more than 50 teen volunteers.
