Obituary: Brasch, Rhonda Lea

Age 63

BRASCH, Rhonda Lea (Age 62) Passed into Heaven July 15, 2013 after a brave struggle with cancer.

She was born in Coulee Dam, Washington on July 26, 1950 to Ken and Elaine Frederick.

Farming and mining opportunities took the family to Davenport, Republic and eventually Spokane.

Rhonda graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1968.

After a short marriage to John Brasch, she devotedly raised her son Allen.

She attended Spokane Community College and her degree eventually led to a long career with NRCS as a civil engineering technician.

She retired in 2012 after 29 years.

Our loving Rhonda was a quiet, family oriented person.

She was a wonderful mother and she adored her steady company of pets.

Her quiet spirit was nurtured by her beautiful flowers and watergarden.

She took special delight in deciding her next plantings.

We will greatly miss her presence in our lives.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her son, Allen Brasch; brother and sisters, Melvin Frederick, Arlene Morrow and Lola Frederick.

Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Janet Chestnut and the wonderful staff at Riverfront Group Health.

We also thank Hospice of Spokane.

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Rhonda.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24 at Manito Presbyterian Church followed by a reception at the church.

Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Colfax Cemetery in Colfax, Washington.
