Obituary: Leinwebber, Robert H. (Age 94)

LEINWEBBER, Robert H. (Age 94) Robert passed away on May 10, 2013.

He was born in Endicott, WA to Henry and Elizabeth Leinwebber on March 12, 1919.

He graduated from Endicott High School in May of 1937.

He worked on the family farm until he was drafted into the Army.

He served in the U.S. Army Corp. in the Pacific theater in World War II.

Before going overseas, he married Mary Senkler in Fresno, CA on July 16, 1943.

After coming home, he studied accounting at Kinman Business University.

He worked at Kaiser Aluminum Plant in Mead, WA.

Later, he started farming in Worley, ID; Bonners Ferry, ID and St. Maries, ID.

He then purchased a farm in Mesa, WA where he grew many varieties of grass seed until he retired.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Elizabeth Leinwebber; daughter, Carol Leinwebber; and sister, Mildred Leinwebber.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; three daughters, Shirley Leinwebber, Janice Leinwebber (Dennis Bauermeister) of Canby, OR and Cynthia Herrman (Paul) of Mesa, WA; five grandchildren, Jason Herrman (Asa), Sarah and Jenna Herrman and Caleb and Nolan Bauermeister; two brothers, Wayne (Ella) and James (Jean) Leinwebber; and several nieces and nephews.

He retired from farming and moved to the Spokane Valley where he spent the last twenty years.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening and working in his yard.

Our thanks to Jim and Jean Leinwebber for all the help and many visits with Bob; to his neighbor, Bill Warmenhaven, who visited and was so helpful; and to so many others who provided compassionate care.

A private interment with military honors will take place at Pines Cemetery in Spokane Valley, WA.
