Tracks should unite

When something is already endangered, it is common sense to try and keep it alive.

Although stock car racing is not common here in the Northwest we do have local tracks. One of those tracks is the half-mile oval in Airway Heights. Another is the quarter-mile oval in Post Falls – Stateline Speedway. They are very different in almost every way, and yet they are very competitive.

As a racer, I like to see what’s the best for stock car racing. Larry (track manager in Post Falls) is only making matters worse by scheduling large events on top of Craig (track manager in Airway Heights). The track in Airway Heights has been struggling ever since the Tarr family and the track parted ways. Although I’m not Craig’s biggest fan, Larry needs to schedule events with him and not on top of each other.  Otherwise we (the racing community) will lose an exciting race track that many memories have been made at.
