Obituary: Stone, Lucille
She was born in Russell County, Virginia on March 12, 1919.
She went to school in Lebanon, VA and graduated from Radford College in 1940.
She attended Catholic University in Washington DC and received a degree in Library Science.
She married Harry Richardson Stone in 1946.
Lucille worked as a librarian for 30 years in Arlington County, VA before joining her husband in founding Stone Realty in Marion, North Carolina.
In 1971, the Stones moved to Roanoke, VA and in 1996 they moved to Spokane, WA to live near their only daughter and granddaughter.
Harry Stone died in 2009.
Lucille is survived by her daughter Linda Stone of Spokane; granddaughter Tegra Stone Nuess of Seattle; sister Lillie Griffith of South Hill, VA and nephew Richard H. Horne of Christiansburg, VA.
The family wishes to express its appreciation to Patti Johnson and her special team of caregivers, particularly Traci Duncan, Kenlyn Kerr and Jacob Corporon, for their caring assistance.
Burial will take place in Christiansburg, VA at a later date.
