Obituary: Keck, Tim
A joyous man left behind a legacy of loving others.
Tim was born in Chehalis, WA to Zack and Dixie Keck.
Graduated from Eureka High School in California in 1975 and with a bachelors degree in business from Evergreen State College.
He was married to the love of his life, Jennifer Keck, on November 4, 1993.
In his early years, he was a member of the United States Coast Guard for four years.
His love of helping people found its mark in his work.
Tim enjoyed working at The Department of Social and Health Services and recently celebrated his 20 year anniversary.
Tim loved helping people get back on their feet.
Beloved by all those who met him, Tim left a lasting impression on those he helped.
He would willingly give you the shirt off of his back if he thought it would help you.
His hobbies included following sports teams, cribbage, and travelling.
An avid fan of the San Francisco Giants, Washington Huskies, Gonzaga Bulldogs, and the Seattle Seahawks, Tim loved to root for his teams; he enjoyed talking about his teams to anyone who would listen.
Tim was a member of the American Cribbage Congress and looked forward to the competition between family and friends.
Tim loved relaxing at the cabin at Priest Lake or travelling to Mexico.
Recent births in the family gave Tim opportunity to dote on his granddaughters.
Tim found great pride in showing his granddaughters off.
He is survived by three children: Jeff and Dania Cochran of Ellensburg, WA and Katie Cochran of Spokane, WA.
He is also survived by two grandchildren, Paisley Cochran and Leah Lynch.
Tim was preceded in death by family members Gwen Keck and Nichole Putnam.
A Memorial Service will be held at Holy Name Convent at 4:00 Saturday, May 25, 2013.
