Wildcats double up Lutes

Josh Yoder fired three touchdown passes and also ran for a pair of scores to power the second-ranked Linfield Wildcats (10-0) to a 42-21 victory over the 13th-ranked Pacific Lutheran Lutes (8-2) in the first round of the Division III playoffs on Saturday in McMinnville, Ore.

The Wildcats had three sacks, two interceptions and a fumble recovery.

Linfield advances to play Hamden-Sydney (Va.) in the second round on Saturday. The site will be determined today.

Carroll 38, Gerogetown (Ky.) 28: The third-ranked Saints (11-1) breezed to a win over the Tigers (7-4) in Helena, Mont., to move into the quarterfinal round of the NAIA playoffs.
