Age 82
He was born March 26, 1931 to Paul E. and Eloise M. McWilliams in Dayton, Ohio.
He graduated from Fairmont High School, the University of Dayton, and received his Master’s Degree from the University of New Mexico.
He married Margaret “Marge” Meckstroth in 1950 and they raised three children.
They were happily married for 63 years.
They lived in Redondo Beach, California, and Los Alamos, New Mexico, before moving to Spokane in 1967.
Paul worked as a mathematician in research science and as a university teacher.
He was involved as a scientific computer programmer beginning in 1955.
His jobs included working at the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory, the Spokane Research Center and Gonzaga University.
His hobbies were travel, golf, photography and collecting classical jazz recordings.
Paul is survived by his wife, Margaret; son, Tim and daughter-in-law, Marily; son, Tom and daughter-in-law, Victoria; daughter, Ruthanne and son-in-law, John (Fritz) Hille; grandchildren Rachel (Hille) Hannah and grandson-in-law Eric Hannah, Ryan McWilliams, Kelly McWilliams, Grant McWilliams, and sisters Judy Frost and Nancy Faimon.
He was preceded in death by his brother, David.
