WSU Humanitas Festival Thursday through Oct. 5. Washington State University hosts a free public celebration of world arts. Highlight performers are Ghanaian musicians Okaidja and Shokoto, performing at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 4 in WSU’s Jones Theatre in Daggy Hall, and concerts in WSU’s Beasley Coliseum by Step Afrika (7:30 p.m. Thursday) and Ache Brasil (7:30 p.m. Oct. 5).World music, dance, food, and fun will be the focus of Oct. 5’s World Cougar Party and Outdoor Festival, scheduled to take place all afternoon (11 a.m.-6 p.m.) on North Fairway Road in front of Beasley Coliseum. The Traveling Vietnam Wall Thursday through Oct. 6. The American Veterans Traveling Tribute brings the 360-foot-long traveling wall, 360 feet long, which carries the names of 58,261 service members who died in the war, including 84 from Spokane. Each day starting at 1 p.m., the names of the fallen Spokane-area Vietnam veterans will be read. Two laptop computers with databases as well as two hard copy wall books are available to assist in locating names on the wall. Open 24 hours a day. There will be free shuttle bus transportation from Life Center Church, 1202 N. Government Way, on Thursday, noon-6 p.m. and Oct. 4 and Oct. 5, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Shuttle service from Palisades Christian Academy, 1115 N.
