Age 89

Dorothy Ann Couch passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 27, 2014 in her home in Spokane Valley, WA.
Dorothy was born November 20, 1924 in Browning, MT.
on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation.
She was the daughter of Peter Hector and Mary Luann Lukin.
She was forced to attend a boarding school in Chemawa, OR.
at an early age.
She later moved to Seattle, WA where she met James Herbert Couch, they married on November 4, 1946.
Together they moved to Spokane and later to Mica, WA.
She was a homemaker and raised nine children.
Dorothy loved children and was loved by her many children and grandchildren.
She enjoyed reading, traveling to see family, and playing Bingo and went as often as she could.
She had a witty personality and was always full of humor.
She later divorced and moved to the Spokane Valley where she resided until the time of her death.
Dorothy is survived by her children Connie (Bob) Swannack of Newman Lake, WA.
Peter (Diane) Couch, John Couch and son-in-law Rory Kasparian all of Spokane, WA.
Terry Ann (Michael) Rhine of Vancouver, WA, Bill (Celeste) Couch of Portland, OR, Nikki Creeger, Timothy Couch and Tess (Mark) Johnson all from Anchorage, AK.
Dorothy was the legacy of life, where she was blessed with nine children, 27 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Hector and Mary Lukin, daughter Stormy Kasparian, grandson Bradley Hobbs, father-in-law Mathew James Couch.
Memorial Services will be held at Thornhill Funeral home located 1400 S. Pines Rd., on April 4, 2014 at 1:00 pm.
There will be a grave side service at St. Joseph’s at 17825 Trent, immediately after the service.
Dorothy will be forever loved and missed by her loving family and many others whom she so willingly accepted as one of her own.
May the Lord Jesus bless her and keep her until we meet again.
