Feedback: Readers vote for favorite patios for outside eating/drinking

We asked our Facebook friends what restaurants and bars in Spokane or North Idaho offer the best patios for outside eating and drinking. Here’s a sampling of what they said:

Branden Randy Rauenzahn

My house. 100% guarantee not to get a DUI.

Trevor Werttemberger

Clinkerdagger’s. It’s wonderful because you can enjoy an amazing meal with friends with an equally amazing view of the Spokane River.

Sam Weber

Me and my girlfriend’s favorite is the patio on the back of Waddell’s up on the South Hill. You get the afternoon sun, the pond, great service and one of the largest beer selections in the Inland Empire.

Bob Salsbury

The Elk in Browne’s Addition, a casual patio fronting the historical elegance of a neighborhood once home to the first movers and shakers of Spokane but now a funky cool Ground Zero for the most diverse and semi-gentrified confederation of free spirits in the Lilac City. When the HA (Hipster Apocalypse) finally hits, we plan to view the bearded horror, sipping cuba libres here.

Rick Eichstaedt

Mizuna was pretty awesome, but I heard they just cut down the trees last week that helped make it so pleasant.

David A. Tige Turner V

Anthony’s on a nice day or evening. The open view of downtown and the river/falls is really hard to beat.

Jake Donahue

Come on, there is really no comparison: Sitting on the deck at Carlin Bay Resort Bar & Grill is literally as good as it gets in the Northwest – the sun, lakefront views and buckets of booze are second to none.

Misty O’Brien

I LOVE Casper Fry outside in the evening! Especially when The Shop (next door) has their DJ spinning reggae beats. The Perry district atmosphere is just beautiful.

Jan Ormsby Baugh

Sweet Lou’s in Hope, Idaho, on beautiful Lake Pend Oreille. Great food, service and view … especially at sunset.

Nathan Johansen

Forty-One South in Sandpoint offers exceptional dining right on the lakeshore, with live music, delicious duck confit, wines and seasonal desserts.

Ana Nunn

Big Sky’s in Hillyard. Love the grass, fire pits, water features and the live bands! Best place in the summer!

Erika Peterson

I like The Porch in Hayden. I love that even in the winter you can feel like you are eating on a patio. It’s beautiful.

Sheryl Anderson-Barton

Bardenay Coeur d’Alene is great!! The best part is the Huckleberry Lemon Drops!

Karen Baergen

Twigs at Wandermere! We love sitting outside enjoying each other, great food and drinks. The water and beautiful scenery remind us of being far away but close enough to go home! I love their signature salad – a longtime family favorite!

Kelley Lauzon Lund

I love Ripples on the River. You just can’t beat the river views, even in midsummer.

Laura Novak

Moose Knuckle BBQ Burgers and Brews at Priest Lake! Awesome food, huge patio and great service. The owners make it fun and relaxing!

Lori King

No-Li on the river

Ruth Johnson

Bangkok Thai next to No-Li – you can watch the marmots running around and the river flow by. Love it.

Ryan Oliver French

CENTRAL FOOD. Hands down best view of Spokane.

Joe Whitten

Max at Mirabeau has such an awesome patio area, great food and drinks too, just a great low key establishment, an unknown Spokane gem.

Jona Gravley Blake

Hill’s Resort! Fish tacos.

Ed Frazey

Curley’s at Hauser

Alicia Williams

Crickets Bar!

Katie Northway

Trinity at City Beach – SO Beautiful!

Jessica Rising

The Garland Drinkery is always nice. Small, intimate, local, and the patio offers a great view of the quaint, small-townish Garland strip.

Lauren Skittles Chedzoy

Daley’s Cheap Shots! Best burgers in town

Teri Anderson

The Illinois Avenue Bar and Grill. They have TVs, heaters for winter & umbrellas in the summer and it’s fenced in. The waitress will serve you if you’re outside as well as inside.

Susan Redskins Jackson

True Legends in Liberty Lake

Jeanne Flugel

Nick’s Silver Beach Resort, Waitts Lake

Jill Wilson Halvorsen

Cedars Floating Restaurant
