Obituary: Winkle, Irene Vera

WINKLE, Irene Vera Irene, age 99, went home to be with the Lord, on Friday, April 18th, 2014 at Rockwood Manor in Spokane, Washington.

She was born August 16th, 1914 in Cozad, Nebraska.

She was a homemaker and seamstress.

She was well known for making sock monkeys for the local stores.

Survivors include a daughter, Frances Knoepfel of Paris, Illinois, a son, Neal Winkle of Spokane, Washington and a daughter- in-law, Barbara Winkle.

She had five grandchildren, four great- grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Keith Winkle, a son Lyle Winkle, son-in-law Don Knoepfel, a brother and a sister.

A service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 16th, 2014, at The Ridge at Rockwood Retirement Community South Hill, 2903 E. 25th Spokane, WA 99223.
