Obituary: Knight, Audrey
She was born February 4, 1924, near Cottonwood, Idaho.
She grew up on a farm outside Cottonwood.
In 1942, Audrey moved with her parents to Pullman.
In 1947, she married William H. Knight (“Bill”), who became Assistant Dean of the College of Engineering at Washington State University.
She and Bill raised four children.
Audrey loved spending time with her children.
From the late 1960s until her retirement, Audrey worked at WSU, initially for the Water Research Center, and later for the Murrow Communications Center.
The Knights made their home in Pullman until 1992, when Audrey moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.
In 2001, Audrey moved to Spokane.
She is survived by her children Donna, Kimball, Randy, and Gary; as well as two grandchildren Katie Staton and Tess Staton.
A celebration of Audrey’s life will be held on Sunday, August 31, 1:00pm, at Rockwood Lane, 221 E. Rockwood Blvd., Spokane.
A graveside service will take place at Pullman City Cemetery on Tuesday, September 2nd, at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the National Parkinson Foundation are welcome.
