Obituary: Lyons, Jack S.
He was born July 23, 1929 in Cheney, Washington to William and Selma Lyons.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lexey Lyons, sister Janet Griswold, brothers James (Suzie) Lyons, and Paul Lyons; his children Sue Jacobs, Stephen Lyons, Lori (Tim) Aspenleiter; his stepchildren Grant (Karen) Walter, Dennis (Kim) Walter, his son-in-law Moe Felix, 13 grand- children, and six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his first wife Mary Ann Lyons, his parents William and Selma Lyons, his siblings Dorothy Dunham, Carl Lyons, Robert Lyons, George Lyons, Betty Springer, Mary Sinnott, Barbara Weedmark, Harley Lyons, Harold Lyons, Jerry Lyons, Frank Lyons, and his daughter Vicki Felix.
Jack served in the Marine Corp as a Corporal for two years stationed on Kaneohe Base in Hawaii during the Korean War.
He was a Butcher (Meat Cutter) at S&P Meat Company and Rosauer’s for many years and a salesman at Western Soap.
Jack was past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #2 from 1987 - 1988, as well as a past treasurer and member of the mixed drill team.
He enjoyed golf, bowling, walking, water aerobics, and loved to travel.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 2pm - 6pm at Hennessey Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 10:00 AM also at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
