Proud moment: Jordan Davis, 3, and her grandfather Steve Davis marvel at the girl’s gingerbread creation Sunday at the Davenport Hotel in downtown Spokane. The 10th annual Gingerbread Build-Off featured teams of bakers and architects competing to construct houses while children were invited to decorate one of 1,400 houses. The event benefited Christ Kitchen, which helps women in poverty.
