Valley museum using historic decorations
The Spokane Valley Heritage Museum is using historic bell decorations from the old University City Mall to decorate the exterior of the Opportunity Town Hall.
Two of the 3-foot-tall bells are hanging from the front façade of the 1912 town hall building. Each is lit from the inside.
Jayne Singleton, director of the museum, said she wants people to have a chance to see the bells and reminisce about their use as light pole decorations at the former mall.
“They resonate with a lot of memories for people,” she said.
The red plastic bells will be on display through New Year’s Day.
The heritage museum is located at the town hall building.
