Santa Express A holiday store where children ages 4-12 can find affordable gifts for everyone on their shopping list. Volunteer elves are on hand to help the children select and wrap their gifts, with the net proceeds going to benefit the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery. Adults can shop while they wait at Vanessa’s Village, a boutique of reasonably priced specialty items. Through Dec. 23. Holiday Lights at Gaiser Conservatory Daily, 8 a.m.-7:30 p.m., through Sunday. The conservatory is decorated with thousands of lights, along with poinsettias and mums in a warm climate. Best viewing is after 4 p.m. Manito Park, Gaiser Conservatory, 1702 S. Grand Blvd. Free.

Journey to the North Pole Cruise The 40-minute cruise departs nightly from the North Pole Cruise Terminal at 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30 p.m., through Jan. 4. Spokane Winter Glow Spectacular The park is getting dressed up for the holidays with more than 25 lighted displays, an Animal Light Zoo and wagon and carriage rides. Through Dec. 31, begins nightly at 5 p.m. Riverfront Park, 507 N. Howard St. Free.

The Coeur d’Alene Resort Holiday Light Show 1.5 million lights illuminating Coeur d’Alene. A new attraction this year is an animated floating Christmas tree on Lake Coeur d’Alene that rises 60 feet tall out of the water, with lights dancing in time to “Carol of the Bells” and a surprise burst of fireworks. Campbell House Holidays Campbell House comes alive for the holiday season with living history demonstrations, festive decorations and music box tunes. Author Andrea Swenson Local author will be reading her first book “Free Rein-in With Chester: Look What I’m Doing Now!” As a young woman with cerebral palsy, Swenson has benefitted from sessions at Free Rein Therapeutic Riding Program in Spokane and wrote book to share her experiences with others.
