Obituary: Kuntz, Regina A.

Age 87

KUNTZ, Regina A. Regina “Jean” Kuntz was born on April 9, 1927 in Karslruhe ND to Jacob and Magdelina Gefroh.

She graduated high school in 1945 and later that year, married Gabriel Kuntz.

In 1953, the family moved to Great Falls, MT.

There, Jean was a member of Holy Family and Blessed Trinity churches and an active member of Alter Society and “Circle” for more than 50 years.

She enjoyed baking and decorating beautiful cakes, crafts, the art of eggery, and playing pinochle.

She had many wonderful friends and took pleasure in sharing things she made with them.

Her favorite role was “grandma” and she looked forward to visits with each of her grandchildren.

In 2009, Jean and Gabe moved to Spokane to be closer to their daughters.

She passed away peacefully at home on December 11, 2014 after visiting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandma, for her generosity and kind heart, and for the sweet smell of her kitchen.

She will be forever loved and missed.

Her loving husband, Gabe and infant daughter, Marilyn preceded her in death, as well as siblings; Catherine, Margaret, Elizabeth, Walter, Philip, Sylvester, John, and Peter.

She is survived by one sister, Christine and three daughters and their husbands; Karen (Gordon) Brawn, Connie (Denny) Bennett, and Vickie (Rick) Roig, as well as six grandchildren; Trevor (Erica) Bennett, Anne (Sean) Brix, Clint (Jillian) Roig, Glenn Brawn, Matthew (Brianne) Roig, and Rachael Roig, and two great grandchildren; Jackson and Rylie Roig.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 10th at 11am, at Hennessey Funeral Home, 1315 N. Pines Rd.

Spokane Valley.
